julie Walden
founder & Chief executive officer

Julie has been in the business of helping people since graduating from William Woods University with a Master's in Business and Marketing in 2000. Serving those with developmental disabilities has been her life's work.

Upon moving to Columbia in 2007, she started Boone Supported Living, and has lead the way as it has grown.

Julie is passionate about serving in the community and currently serves at the Vice-Chair on the Boone County Disabilities Commission. She volunteers in many capacities, which include serving as a vocalist at Woodcrest Chapel for many years, working with Algoa inmates as part of the prison ministry, and most recently began assisting as a mentor with Love, Inc.

Dennis Waldrip,
CHIEF INNOVATION OFFICER

A native of Dallas, Dennis is a former small business owner. Prior to that, he worked for thirteen years as a tool engineer and in mid-level management on the F-16 program at General Dynamics in Fort Worth, and was Promotions Manager for a high-end venue where he wrote and produced print and radio advertising and negotiated concert bookings with regional and national recording artists. After leaving Texas he spent five years living in Colorado before landing in the Columbia area, where he met Julie while volunteering at church.

Already working full-time at MBS, he came to Boone Supported Living in October 2015 to provide part-time assistance. His role with BSL expanded quickly as he became the Director of Marketing in December 2015. In December 2016 he was promoted to Chief Innovation Officer, overseeing technology, marketing, facilities, and general business operations.

Dennis has volunteered with the Woodcrest Chapel Creative Arts Tech Team since May 2015, designing and operating lights on many weekends.

SHERI TINSLEY
DIRECTOR OF SUPPORTED LIVING

Sheri came to BSL in December of 2016. She has dedicated her entire life to working with and for people with developmental disabilities. She worked for a number of years with Sisters Supportive Living and Woodhaven, just to name two, but has been in this field for over thirty years.

Sheri is responsible for overseeing BSL's individualized supported living (ISLs) and host home operations in Columbia.

She is also active in the community, volunteering with the Special Olympics, and tries to stay in touch with many of the individuals whom she has served in the past.

Christina Holt LPN
Nursing Coordinator

A Licensed Practical Nurse since 2003, Christina joined BSL in October 2016 after spending the majority of her nursing career in primary care and family medicine.

While currently working on her BSN at Columbia College, her focus at BSL is ensuring the well-being of all of our individuals. She trains our staff in the proper administration of medications and, under the guidance of our PAM/RN, oversees all things medical. Christina's knowledge and desire to help others makes her a favorite among staff and consumers alike.

One of her fondest memories is working at Wonderland Camp as a teenager.
